#0 source I might be the newest PAMPA member and I last week I got my back issues of Stunt News. I know some of the stuff has been covered but there are a couple of things that caught my attention...
First, on page 67 (May/June issue) is an article by Jim Harris titled "The PDQ Series." He lists three planes that were offered by PDQ: Flying Prince, Flying Clown, and the Super Clown. I have a complete kit from PDQ of the "Circus King" in the kit is a printed sheet with the complete line of models offered. I have no idea when this was printed but listed are: Super Clown 38" span, Flying Clown 27" span, Lion Tamer (full fuse) 42" span, Circus King 40" span, Baby Clown 23" span, & Circus Prince 27" span...
According to Bare Baxter, the Circus King is a Matt Kania (Ringmaster) design, one look and you can see the resemblance...
Now for the point of writing this... On page 85 there is a picture of Chicago (ie. Snowbird) Bud with a 130% scale Ringmaster. I did several different searches and could not find a one here on SSW, But I like the idea of a 130% Circus King! Can anyone help me find info on what to watch for in "Super Sizing" one of my favorites... Hmmm... 52" Circus King? Yah!
Perhaps, Bare can enlarge a copy of his plans to make it easy. My main question would be do I enlarge the dimensions of the spars and lead/trail edges? I would still use 1/2" sheet for the fuse.
