OK, asked this before, but never really got any responses to specific people and/or how to contact them.
Who rechromes sleeve/piston assemblies?
Have you dealt with them?

Bill, I also need some help in this area. Someone gave me an address of a person that does this I believe in Texas. I have a OS 35s that needs a rebuild. I will have to look in some old files to come up with a address

Try Bob Oge, 815-286-3969, if they have not changed the area code.
He lives in Illinois I think. He has done a couple of ST-35 P&L's for me and tapered the liners. Did an outstanding job.

Huh?!!!
This question WAS directly answered within the last three months. All contact info for both Bob Oge and Don Blackburn was given. Use the "search" function...

Don Blackburn in Amarillo, Tx has done 2 os 35s for me and a O&R 33 red head. His work is very good and reasonable. Call information in area code 806. He is listed. He chromes the piston and does a complete refit plus some break in. all for $40.00

Thanks you for your insightful input! You mean there is a "search" function available?
At work, from where I posted the request, using the "search" function is close to impossible.
Several kind souls actually replied to my request with informative answers. You, however, chose a different tactic. Not very imaginative, but much different. Around here, it would probably be called a "smart alec" reply, or worse. Why post a reply at all if you cannot give some information at that time?
Oh, yeah, I know why. Upon arriving home and checking out the forum, I DID__ use the search function. Low and behold I got the answer!!
YOU posted the names and information back in August. I guess it is pretty difficult for some of us to actually write the same thing twice, huh?
Not being a moron, I was aware of using the "search" function when I posted my request for this information. I also was aware (as you could not have been) that it wassn't a viable option for me at the time.
I have come to totally acknowledge that "common decency" is woefully lacking in some areas of our great country. Now more than ever. You don't know me, and I don't know you. However, from your apparent attitude you would have a hard go of it in these parts.

You said you got no response back when the question was originally asked- that is untrue. It amazes me how many times I have gone out of my way (I am sure others here have too) to go look up info and pull files to get phone #s etc. only to get a response like yours later on down the road. It is little wonder I don't bother much anymore- although I must admit I found it vastly funny.

I learned a long time ago that you only get better by going against better opponents. I am disappointed, I expected much more.

The Search function (thoughtfully placed just before the Post function in the control bar) returns a list within minutes for the word "chrome".

Yep, and like I said, I did that here at home tonight.

But a couple people were kind enough to give me the information here, in this thread.
Can't use the search function at work..... it "times out". See, we are on a network of several hundered computers with a poor server, and very old computers. I had hoped to get the info and call from there.
