Adjustable Lead Outs

Seen some advertised, made one from 1/32" ply; didn't like the crush effect even when the ply plate was CY'd. Which do you fellas have experience with, and who makes what? I need one for my Richards Bearcat, which I have modified with internal bellcrank. Wingtip is similar in size to Sterling Hellcat.

RSM and BRODAK sells them.
I make my own.

I make mine from 1/8 square spruce. Two long pieces seperated by two short spacers pieces on either end give you a 1/8" slot which is perfect for a 4-40 pinch bolt.

I also use the spruce strips. I make the slider out of 1/8 ply with a blind nut and two pieces of the yellow plastic tube that comes with a set of Pylon brand leadouts. I suppose one could use a nylon 4-40 bolt and save a little weight.
