Hi guys,
I'm new to this forum and am in the process of building a Brodak Cardinal Profile.
I recently read the Movin' Up Part IV article in the July/August 2003 issue of Stunt News and was curious as to which issues contained the first 3 articles dealing with the Cardinal construction? Thanks, -Todd

Part 3 featured in March/April
Part 2 featured in Jan/Feb

I guess Part one was the last issue of last year, however
I only joined this year, so only have info back to Jan/Feb.

Todd:
I won the article Cardinal, and it resides in my basement. A MAJOR help in making the airplane perform well is that the fuselage was covered entirely in 1/2 oz. fiberglass, adhered with epoxy. Keeps things real stiff.

Other than that, and some additional panels at the wing-tips, I believe that Bill and Noel pretty much followed directions and used kit wood.

They did substitute for a beefier, adjustable control system.....carbon fiber pushrods and ball links from Tom Morris.

The package does NOT have a "Pro-Stunt" finish, but a very workmanlike and simple finish which is perfect for profile models, especially for models aimed at competing at every level but top-twenty at the Nats.

Bill Hummel and Windy are both in the PAMPA directory and would answer specific questions.

I agree with Peabody's advice about stiffening the fuse. While I haven't built one I have looked a few over, and most seemd a bit wiggly in the back end.

Todd, If you do not have the issues of SN you need, let me know. Are we still plamnning on flying at TRAC Sunday? Mike really wants to try his new Nobler ARF, and Katie wants to try here new plane as well.

My understanding is that Todd is on BOTH the F2A and F2C teams for the upcoming World CL Champs at Muncie. Are you sure you want to help this guy learn to fly stunt?

Scott,

Some weeks ago I saw a young man at the club doin' a darn decent pattern.

What impressed me was the consistency of his bottoms - 5 feet after all maneuvers!

He turns out to be trhe son of a friend of mine. I congratulated his dad, and he said that the kid doesn'e like stunt thet much, he's more into team racing.

I told the kid that he should refrain from flying stunt, it would certainly be bad for his team racing skills. (of course I was just kiddin')

Anyhow his dad told me that he has no plans of competing in stunt.

I wish him all the success in the world in his team racing!
