Italian ST 51 vs. Chinese ST 51

Ok, all you engine gurus out there: Are their any differences in the two engines (early '90s square head 51, new Chinese C/L square head) as to timimg, etc. ?
Through a forum member I have one of the made in China versions that I plan to use very soon. Externally they *look* the same except for the venturi/nva set up. I am *VERY* happy

with the one I am running (older made in Italy) in the USA-1. Want to know what to expect comparing the run.

The Italian .51 runs best on red wine, the Chinese likes rice wine.

I picked up a plane with the ST .51 in it and the previous owner had nothing but good to say about it. It is the Italian version.

Are there finished pictures of this phantom USA-1. I heard a rumor that it was completed but as yet have seen no evidence.

Well, I hope someone got a pic of it at the meet this weekend. I think Aaron "might" have taken one with his digi camera. I would have loved it if someone got a pic of the dead flat 2 foot bottom on the last outside of the square eight! LOL!! Funny thing is, as nervous as I was it didn't faze me! Got some weird looks fom the other guys thourgh. Still got to get the *feel* of this one, but I do have 10 flights on it now. It's a good one!

WELL Bill here it is on Sunday.Also the expert lineup.Gene Martine,Dale Barry. I judged all day Saturday so I got no pictures
