Question on Super Cyclone

On two versions of the Super Cyke, one has small breather ports on the case that are uncovered by the piston at TDC. Is there a performance difference or advantage of this version over the one without the ports? Both are single plug, thick flange.

Bob,I believe that's how the cyke utilized sub port induction. It must have helped them as the cyke was the motor to beat in the 40's
