Hello to Stunt Land,
Has anyone gotten their new stunt news?? Mine usually comes in on the First of the month, but not yet..
Is it just late?
Enquiring minds want to know!!

Not yet. I think my mailman took it.

Not here yet but I expect it to be here some time this week. I opted for first class delivery and it usually gets here around the 5th unless the mail delivery system gets snafu-ed. Once mine arrived well after most of the third class mailings had been recieved, but that is definitely not the norm.

I believe that several events occurred that hampered speedy delivery.
Tom was ill for a bit, then had to visit someone. The election results are being published, which meant that there was stretch of the deadline to accommodate the cut-off date. I would venture that it will be soon, though.

I understood a ten day delay--but that was earlier in the month.

Nope, but I usually get it the first week of the month. 1st class delivery.

Mines is always late. Johnny Paris takes to long reading it. Might be better if I had my own copy though. Maybe next year.

If I was a really nice guy, I could just read it to him. That way we both could absorb the information at the same time.

It was finally determined the picture would not be forth coming as
Bill was not properly prepared and had failed to put film in the camera.
I see (looking into my crystal ball which was purchased from Count
Von delekkee) the mag being delivered in the next 10 days. If not,
read an old issue again;(bet you missed somthing the first time

I just got my Stunt News about 10 minutes ago. Dust still in the air from the mailmans jeep or whatever that thing is called. Now to go read and look at all the purty pictures.

As a Heads-up! there is a galaxy-class mistake in Bad Boy Stunt. Well, maybe not that big a deal. But in fiddling with motors the other night, it turns out the 25FP used on my ARF Flite Streaks has been operating with three (3) .005 head shims in addition to the stock single (1) .015 head shim. Lawdy, Lawdy, who would want to detune the little wanker that much? I am now back to running it w/o extra head shims added to the stock piece.

This is a flawed concept. Ty's voice bouncing off the tiled walls in his bathroom would totally ruin the reception.

Just curious, does your 25FP run noticeably different now with the extra shims removed? Thanks.

Let's see here. Stock is one .015 head shim. I doubled that to a total of .030 with three .005 shims.

Naw, the motor won't run any differently at all; I was wasting my time.

Dennis, I am guilt of sloppy wording. I haven't actually run the engine since discovering, and removing, the extra head shims. I expect more power, a narrower needle setting and a harder, more abrupt break between two- and four-stroke running.

All of which is exactly why I probably should not have removed the extra shims in the first place. It was running better and better all the time.

However, I want try a box-stock setup: Stock 25FP, stock muffler, off-the-shelf fuel, APC 9-4 prop.

If it works, there are several people in this area who would like to know it, and I am sure such information would be nice to pass out this coming year.

Got mine today! Love those mid wingover and unusual angle pictures Will Hubin gets and he has a lot in this issue. That Cavalier on the inside back cover certainly has an interesting paint scheme.

What the two guys above said. My airmail copy arrived in Sydney in today's mail. Sometimes we are at the head of the food chain somewhere further down.

This month we seem to be in the middle of the First Class Mail subsribers. Pretty good for someone 12,000 miles away
