I was out flying Jose Modesto's Proto Type Carbon Fiber Stunter today,right fron the start it flew great. Jose made the parts and Neal assembled them, not too pretty but flies great( proto type first model to fly}.Needs a larger tank to complete the pattern, but it has enough room for an 8 oz tank.Jose actually flew it today for the first time,and was impressed with his working model. Flyers that have flown so far: Neal Beekman, Bob Champione (aka LAMPIONE), and Frank Carbone.Now that its a proven flyer I will try and put a light finish on the HAWK as Jose calls it(aka The Cardinal Killer)and use it for the 2004 season. Jose had this stuff at the Nats....preetty impressive! Although the components may not be as light as pieces built with 4 pound balsa, they seem significantly more rigid, and the silky smooth finish indicates that a lot less material would be necessary to create a presentable finish.

The pieces that I looked at were based, I believe, upon the Impact, although I am not 100%.....Jose seems to lump all competitive wings into one basket....Cardinal/Impact/T.P./S.V......

Would be nice if Jose posted the size of the plane, engine, and flying weight of the prototype. They are usually heavier than later versions but it would give us an idea of what we can do.

Hey Neal that is really neat. I talked with Jose at the Nats about his wing and would like to have one. Do you have his email address?
Also...what are you using as support inside the Carbon shell wing?
