Trainers for building and flying.

In going through some back issues of Flying Models tonight, I came across a trainer for PA called "Rookie". March 1983 issue of FM. It has a lot going for it. Who is Don Winfree?? From the looks this would be a great step forward for anyone going into Intermediate to Advanced from a kit profile. In fact this should be kitted. Lots of advanced techniques not seen in 90% of the profiles or even full fuselage kits out there for the Intermediate or Beginner. The pilot is ugly though!! But then you could carve a better looking one or put your photo in the cockpit. (Or is it flight deck now??) It reminds me of Al Rabes Mustunt profile with the upright engine. Maybe that's where he got the idea, but the point is it works. His instructions are pretty solid up to the "finishwithyourfavoritemethod" statement. But then I'm sure he was edited to just so many words or pages.
