I spent the last week helping my friend's son build a Flite Streak it was a lot of fun and Alex (Keith McMahan son)had good time. It was the first large air that he built so I showed him what to do and let him work he did about 60% of the building. The Flite Streak was an old Top Flite kit. The air frame without the main gear and wheels was only 12.6oz I covered it with MonoKote, and from bare wood to finished airplane it only gained 2.4 oz and the ready to fly weight is 28.2oz with OS fp25& muffler &2.75oz uniflow tank. I got have the first flight on sat and Keith The second and on the second flight the storm front hit the wind was gusting to 25-30 mph and the temp went from 34 to 21 degrees so Alex did not get to fly it. It was a blast to fly a Flite Streak again and we flew it on 65 ft of .015 lines it had very good line tension and turned nice at the start of my flight the lines froze the gether the pavement was wet. They went home to Denver today. Here are some photos. Carl
