Bending Music Wire

I need some suggestions on bending music wire, 3/32 and larger. Do you guys use a wire bender?

Trying to make better pushrods and wire landing gear for scratch built models.

Harry Higley advertises his wire bender in most RC magazines. Also Micro Mark the small tool specialist (www.micromark.com)have a couple wire benders that I like even better. Micro Mark has one that looks identical to the one posted by Tiger ST only it's $60.00

Go here: http://www.busybeetools.com/ Then check out there "products" online,...scroll down to the "S" and find "sheet metal machines",....the benders at the top of the page. Note, prices are in Canadian funds. This thing is the cats a$$ for bending piano wire and flat bar stock. Getting indentical bends on gear legs is a snap. I got mine on sale for $75.00 and it's worth every penny.

K&S makes three: one for wire up to 1/8 inch dia, one for wire up to 1/4 inch dia and a coil bender. Here is a link to the 1/8 inch bender at Tower:

I have them all and they work well.

I made one. steel plate with holes drilled to put various pins in various locations. Pins are steel and of several diameters from 1/8" to 1/4". Just set the pins and bend away. Pretty easy to bend the wire that way.

Do you think you good substitute roll pins for steel ones?
Easier to come by .
Or did you mean roll pins ?
