Little Legend USA-1

Thanks to a lot of help from guys here, I have the "Little Legend" USA-1 framed up. Only capstrips and hinging to go!
Norvel Big Mig 061 should do just fine.

I think the plans are still available from PAMPA. Steve Buso drew the "Little Legends", each of the five World Champion planes from the US. .049-.061. Build just like full size profiles!

I stopped working on the "Little Legend's Impact", looks like I will have to get it back on the bench.

Another beautiful plane. I have a few questions that I'm sure you as well as many others could help me with.

1: Is the wing glued on with the flaps cloth hinged in the pics?

2: When gluing the wing to the fuse, how do you do it without making a mess and keeping the glue where needed when sliding the wing into place?

3: Is it better to cover before or after the wing is in place?

4: What are the other planes in the Little Legend series?

5: Can you come out to play?

I put the cloth hinges on after the wing was glued in.

I fit the wing very carefully, then used CYA to attach it. Thick CYA was used as the preliminary fillets.

I just cover these small ones after the wing is glued in.

There are five planes on the plans: 1. Gieseke Nobler; 2. Stilleto;
3. USA-1; 4. Genesis; 5. Impact.
They all use the same wing with different wing tips and LG, different stab/elev shapes, etc. A foam wing is available from John Duncan. I believe the planes are a take off on the 1/2A Prowler which Scott Smith did very well with at one of the NE stunt contests several years ago. The plans are drawn by Steve Buso. Very nice.

Very nice Bill. I can't believe how many planes you have in the works at what seems like one time. I'm lucky to get one, two at most in the works at the same time. You one heck of a builder!!!!

Of course, some of these are Aaron's planes. We both build in my basement. 14 feet of dedicated cabinet/counter space, a converted pool table, with glass top, and two other benches that serve as storage and the tops are also used for building on.

Steve from UHP is already working on the kit.

We have all 4 laser cut. Doug built the Nobler, I built the Stiletto, Steve built the Impact, and I assuming Bill got the USA-1.
