I am fully aware of the systems from Tom Morris, and Windy, but I would like to know if anyone else is presently offering other systems. Dan Winship did, but I don't know if he has resumed production. I am not referring to the Brodak and Sig, RSM, etc., offerings. I believe the CSC system is still available through Brodak.

I do the same thing, but I was hoping to see if there were alternative sources for general knowledge, and maybe so that others could get an idea of what's available.
I have made quite a few horns for the Classic and smaller ships using Bob Hunt's method. Works great! But I like the slider horn for the elevator. Also the Central Hobbies CF tubes for push rods and the ball links!!
Oh yeah, you really got me thinking about a profile USA-1 for P-40 events. Same airfoil, but just a smidge smaller.
And I think I will ahve to build a "built up" fuselage "Little Legend" for the Norvel 061.

I'm still trying to finish my PA plane for next year. I haven't even started my USA-1 yet. Just a flap and the elevators to go on the PA plane. Then I can start the finish. Finally finished the CF cowl and fitting yesterday. Never done one of those before. It was, ah, interesting.

Why?
Tom Morris and Windy make very satisfactory control system components and sells them at very reasonable prices. We don't need better, if in fact, there is better. Its like saying Sullivan and Top Flite make very good plastic horns, but doesn't anyone else? Tom is my supplier, and as long as he supplies, I don't need Any other source. And yes, I did used to make my own horns and bellcranks, but Tom does it better and cheaper by the time I find materials.

Because, like I said, there may be others out there making these supplies that I don't know about. If so, it is good to know about them whether or not I use them. Dan Winship used to make a much better, lighter, BC than the linen phenolic ones. But I don't think he makes them anymore.
I also said I use all of Tom's products and will continue to do so.
But just like your request for "lighter" CF tubes for push rods, I also, just want to find out "what is out there!"
Maybe some of the less knowledgeable out there will read this thread, and see responses so that they might get some answers, too.
BTW: Didn't get a response from my last email. Might have been during your email addy change period.

Too much information can lead to confusion and unnecessary questions about "best" when all are satisfactory. I used Winship horns and bellcrank in my Classic Bearcat, then he quit making them. Tom seems a more reliable source for parts in that he is more than a part time cottage industry. I like the phenolic bellcranks just fine and find them light enough and strong beyond doubt.

I agree, I guess it could be confusing and argumentative when there are too many choices.
I have used the "Morris System" in everything I have built the last two years, and have no problem with them.

I was just going to cut the sides, measure how wide the firewall needed to be, and go from there.
Taking everything else off of the LL plans.

The Winship website is still up, and it says stuff will be sold on an "as available" basis. I'm not sure exactly (at all) what that means, or how it would work.
