Magnum 36 built for stunt by Ro-Jett

Just wanted to throw it out there that Dub and I have just received a couple of the 36s and are going to build liners and or heads for this engine and set it up for stunt. I am looking to sell it in the range of 200.00. Just thought I would get some feed back as to interest and comments. Engine looks like it will be about 7.5 ounces bare, Mufflers will add 1/2 to 1.2 ounces(tongue, tube). We should be testing in a couple of weeks.

I am interested, but at this point it is more to the side of the chicken in the old joke about the chicken being involved in breakfast, the pig being committed.

Besides, I am sorta on the hook to you for a pitch gauge and three or four ARF Impacts. I may be over-extended already...

For what it's worth, I see the Magnum 36 as an ideal donor for this mix 'n match generation of a new CL Stunt motor.

Any action on your modern stunt ARF idea??

Any chance you will be selling the P&L separately? I have a couple of .32 versions of the same engine. It is identical to .36, just the piston and liners are different. I would love to get them converted to a good .36 like stunt engine! If need I can send a couple of my .32s to test with!
I think there is a $10 difference in price of the two. Why pay extra if you can get to the same result.

If I am not mistaken, Magnum 28, 32 and 36 are the same engine with the different P&L.

Steven, Not even close. The .25 and .28 are variants on the same case casting (round fins, very traditional). The .32 and .36 are built in a different case (weedeater look). The .40, .46 and new .52 are built in the same case casting (weedeater). Probably the only .40 made that weighs more than the K&B .40...hard to believe. :/ Steve

PS: We're talkin' about current production designs here. I'd expect the .25/.28 to be due for a revision soon.

Ok, let's forget the .28, my mistake. 32's are $10 less and since the guys are going to junk the piston and the liner anyways, why even bother getting .36's!?

I have the latest versions of .32's. They are very popular in GX combat circles. I even have ventury's already made up for them. Jim Carpenter makes nice ventury's for .32's and .36's.

He's right on the differences. I have all of the above and the 32 might have been viable but we are not planning on making a piston for the 36, just the liner. If it turns out the piston is not up to par for stunt then we would make one, this means we would also have to make a rod!? uarg! If this is how it goes then we would just turn it into a 40. Price would also go up proportionately.

Bummer on the .32. I would rather the changes be minimal. Well, let me rephrase it: I would rather it was less expensive than more.
