Merco 35 types

Some while ago someone (Rustler?) mentioned that one of the Merco 35 series had the '35' deleted from the bypass and stamped on the lug instead. I just found one and was trying to identify which series it was. Tried looking in archives but could not find it.

Anyone know when the bronze bearing for the crankshaft was left out?

Must have been very early as I had merco 35 engines from 1963 and none of these had the bronze bush.

There is an excellent Merco website somewhere. The author really gets into the history, models, etc. Perhaps someone can help me, or just experiment on google. Currell
