Flightstreak ARF sighting in OZ

Frontline Hobbies in Hunter Street Newcastle Australia have the Flightstreak ARF for sale for 220 AUD about 164 USD. In comparison they also have a Cox 0.020 for 120 AUD about 88 USD! I bet they don't sell too many of either! I guess the point is that someone is importing them (the ARF's).

As best I know, Dawn Trading in Sydney are the supposed "exclusive" import agent for TopFlite. However, I also believe Tony Cincotta has some coming very soon, and apparently not through Dawn. Mine came in privately.

Kellets have them in stock now, somewhat less expensive, 'bout 180, I think. I've been flying mine (posted by a US buddy) for a couple of months, flys very well with a LA25 & 10-4 prop. For an unflapped design it turns nice squares, but so did all of GMAs' similar designs.

Even 180 AUD is on the high side. Now if every ozzi going to the WC was to bring back a couple of flitestreaks and noblers as "hand luggage" then......

Yep, I thought that 180 was high too - good ol' Dawn Trading, I guess.
Mine was about AUD125, including postage, so that was a lot better. The Nobler at about AUD250 seems like better value to me.

G'day, Dave...Letsee...if the ARF FS is $60 at Tower, and the $AUS is about $.50, that makes them $120AUS straight from Tower, plus shipping. I expect they'll ship anywhere. You did good at $125AUS. Jimmy Booker sent me the FS, forget how much the postage was though. The ol' south Pacific Peso has struggled up to about 0.74 USD at the moment, so the prices look better - but the FS shouldn't be selling for much more than $90 Oz, the importers are doing just fine out of it, not the model shops, I reckon. They are probably priced too high to sell in the potential volume available.

Have to say that mine flies fine, after I added a little tip weight, but I now remember why I loathed Monocote when I flew *C. Good funfly model, but a little expensive here to be considered "disposable"!

Pete Lloyd is our local version of Riley Wooten - very nice hand selected wood at a good price. Hope he does well out of it, he provides great service.

If your arm is up to it, get a couple of his HLG kits, they are very good, great wood!
