AutoCAD Flames

Anyone happen to have any "Flames" drawn in AutoCAD? I have a Tartering idea but need some good Flame drawings. The graphics drawings I have found on the web are not good enough to cut vinyl from.

Looking for something like this...

Bob, do you have AutoCAD? If so, you can make your own flames from that JPEG file you show. Start a new drawing, then: Insert, Raster Image, Attach, place the JPEG file in the drawing area and use the spline drawing command to trace along the edges of the flames.

.dxf files.

Export .dxf from Corel import to AutoCAD or vise versa.

CorelDraw file would work, I have it on this computer.

I shudder to think of the flying tart you will produce. Stripes, stars, cirles and checkers were all tarty enough. Then, people started putting numbers on planes. Imagine that. NUMBERS. The horror. And now Flames????!!! Maybe a little tuck and roll for the interior. Are you going to hook a sparkplug up to a hot wire at the exhaust? LOL.

Seriously, I saw a yellow pickup with purple flames the other day and I thought about a Legacy painted similarly. Done right, it would be very cool. Good luck with whatever "mad scientist" idea you have come up with.

You just never know what I might come up with..

Did find a site that sells a CD of all kinds of flame graphics but free would be better..

In the mid-60's artists and intelectuals in Ipanema were drinkin' as if booze was goona disapear from the planet the next day.

One evenibg, by the time folks were feelin' no pain thos joker released two rabbits he had previously dyed, one yellow and the other one purple.

Everybody saw the rabbits leapin' around, but nobody dared to say "I'm seeing a yelow and a purple rabbit"!

Only some days after peolpe started commenting about the rebbists, and it turns out that they all had seen them, so nobody was having DT...

That's a nice, ralatively simple paint job. I like the looks of the airframe. How about giving us the specifications for same?

It's a Cap 20, plans from MAN I think, in the 80's?
I've had the plan for about 20yrs & after recently returning
to C/L I wanted a practise model. Power at the moment is OS35FP.
Here's some more pics.

The more I look at the wing, the less simple I think the paint job is. I like the plane and the paint. Lots.

Check out this website: http://www.rockinrose.com/ Right click on the art you want to save (in Gif format). I don't know about importing them into CAD. Here's a couple from there. :/ Steve

PS: I think the proper term is "Tarting". Tartering (verb) would be the act of applying Tarter Sauce to some fish that you had flamed... or, "Blackened", in Cajun cookbook lingo. But Blackened Crappie don' need no steenkin' Tarter Sauce, Man!

Steve, Thanks for trying but these have the same problem as most others I have found on the web. They are low quality reductions of the original graphic and the edges are not smooth/straight enough for the vinyl cutter.

Bob, the guy is in business of cutting vinyl tarts for model airplanes. If you want to cut vinyl decorations, just email him, tell him how big you want it, and you get it in the silver box out by the road. Steve

I am not in the vinyl cutting business but do have a cutter. As many times as I cut a friskit mask and mess it up sticking it on the airplane I need to be able to cut them myself. I would go broke paying someone else
