Want to add some color this winter

Winter is on us and I'm down to two kits to build. So I've decided my Legacy isn't heavy enough and might need some trim colors added. The plane is painted with DuPont Centari Acrylic Enamel, no clear coat. The only fuel that has been on it is Rich's all synthetic. Question: If I wipe the plane down with Prep Sol and take 600 sandpaper to areas I'm planning on adding trim paint (same product), do you think I'll be OK or might I have adhesion problems? I'm guessing I'm not the first person to want to add paint to a plane that has been finished and flown. Thanks.

With a careful cleaning, and light sanding as you say, you should have no problems. Treat it like a "repair".
