I am wondering how many of you guys and girls are expecting Christmas presents in the form of some U-Control goodies?
Does Santa know where to find the stuff? What was #1 on your wish-list?

Me too. My tree currently harbors an ARF Flite Streak, a NIB LA25, an ARF Nobler, and a NIB 50 anniversary Fox 35. Both engines have tongue mufflers from Leonard too. Didn't put the Ukey 35 under the tree because the varnish is drying.

Was HOPING for a Brodak 40 or two.....but seeing as they arent available yet I may have to settle for a lump of coal.

I know that there is an ARF Nobler cause I was there to help her poick it out, but the other control line stuff is top secret! She is a tough nut to crack! I even tried cheap wine! Merry Xmas fella's.

My LA .46 came last firday!

Woopee, Now to get a plane for it.
I would like a Continental but don't know when it will be available - but - I do at least have both sets of plans for that one.
I think I'll trade my Brodak 1955 T-Bird I obtained at the club Yankee swap for the RSM 1959 version. That would be a perfect plane for the LA .46! See you in a while Henry!

Just a follow up. Looks like I get more than just some sleep. I'm pretty sure my wife and sister-in-law when in together to get me a 19" flat panel display. Not plane stuff, but pretty cool.

I walked in to our local hobby shop on a wim last night. There was a maverick ARF Nobler just laying in the corner. Well Merry Christmas........I slapped my brand on it and it is now hidden in the garage. I need to figure out how to get it past the wife. That box it a lot bigger than the Streak's.

I'm hoping for a Strega kit from LHS. I've dropped enough hints, like doing the Snoopy dance in front of her while holding the kit. But I haven't seen a box under the tree that resembles it, so I don't really think so.

yep that where it was jim. see i live salisbury maryland and i just started flying agin this past year after a 20 year layoff
. we have about 6 of us now flying ever suday and we are getting ready to start up a club the first of the year. everybody is a member of ama and pampa. we have been flying mostly speed limit combat and stunt some . the hobby shop is 3 hours away but it is worth the drive. i think we are going up again after the holidays. he sure as a nice shop all control line

My lovely wife brought *something* in yesterday and put it under the tree!
About 4 feet long, 10-12 inches wide, 6 inches deep!!!
Maybe it's a new shot gun????????? LOL!!!!

Truthfully, I was not hoping for much, because I had decided that this year we needed to get a new TV, and since I hate spending good money on old technology (model aircraft excepted, of course!!), it had to be a good one (wide screen, HDTV, etc.). I had a figure in mind, but when we started looking, the prices were a LOT higher than I had thought, so I basically figured we'd end up spending so much on the "family" gifts that there wouldn't be anything left over that I could convince the wife I "just had to" spend on the hobby. Anyway, long story short, we went out yesterday and got a GREAT price on the electronics, so I also ended up getting a digital camera (which will help me in the hobby, as I can now share pictures instantly with all of you), and the best part is I still have some money left over I can spend on things like a PAMPA membership, a high-zoot Tom Morris control system, and stuff like that. Maybe some miscelaneous tools like a set of ball drivers, and some other nice-to-haves. Looks like it'll be a great year!!

I got my owns too! Went a bought a Strega and a Double Star 61 Lite RE. Also picked up the Greenaway ST 60 on the SSW sales post. Now if I can only build faster than I am buying everything would be great!

As a bachelor I have to buy for myself and I was generous. Some Brodak stuff including the new P-40. A vintage Ken-Hi kit.Lots of accessories, no motors this year.
Then I was forced to buy myself the ultimate Xmas gift. My old car finally gave me an excuse to get rid of it after 10 years so I can't put the new one under the tree but it's as close as it's going to get.

On a serious side I hope that news of all of our young men and women in the armed forces getting the word to come home is under mine. I remember spending Christmas in Viet Nam in 1972 and being away from home and family sucks. Merry Christmas to all!
