Hamster racing class, any clues

While bumming around on the web, I came across the Delphei popup forums for race and speed. They are discussing Hamster class speed/race planes. They reffered me to the NLCRA website, but I didna see any class listings there. What the heck is going on with that?

I also have lots of problems finding discussion on Class I and II scale out there. Plenty of similar stuff but nothing like we run in Topeka. Oh well.

I too have seen the Hamster stuff. I belive its a 70% Quicky Rat? not sure. I have also been looking to see if I can run enclosed bell cranks on my GY 15 in Topeka or any were else. Haven't seen any AMA rules that state I can't. I plan on building a Midget Mustang with a(very skinny) built up wing. Its a cool looking plane and I plan on some exotic composite structures and building techniques.

Class I, external controls, 1 oz tank, Plain bearing engine save the Fox 15 BB.

Class II, Internal controls ok, anything goes on the 15 size engine, fastfill, preasured.

I suggested that the Singapore people use the term "Hamster Race" for their junior racing event because they used .061s.. They still call it "Rat Race", though. Oh well, I suppose they could always call it Gerbil Race.

Hamster racing is the old Rat Race using .15s and smaller diameter lines.

Basically the .40 size Rats' speed and line pull killed off the pilots and the .21 Rats didn't slow down enough from their .40 sized predecessors to know the difference.

Hamster is an attempt to have an unlimited racing event constrained only by fuel (10% Nitro), engine displacement (.15) with a mini pipe allowed.
