Haven't had a Nobler since 1964. Long story on that one!

Santa brought me a new RoJett. I may shelve the four strokes for a while. Have to play with the new toys.

An ARF Flite Streak and an engine test stand were waiting under my tree. WOO HOO!

The trouble with having a lot of engines, especially new ones, is that you have trouble figuring out which one to use. If you happen to have a left over PA or RO .61 I would sure like to give one a test on my plane???

Too late. I decided to try the .61 in the Time Machine and will put the .65 into the Impact - or will rebuild the Legacy.

I have one NIB Saito .72 monster 4 stroke sitting on the bench with a UHP manifold. It's sitting in reserve in case I need the extra power somewhere.

Yes, I have way too many engines. I still have too many left over from my RC days, too. I just cannot help myself.

I can't fly it, but my daughters gave me a solid oak, felt lined, 9 drawer tool chest. Man, my tools are living better than I am.

My future son-in-law has surprised me twice during the holidays. Two weeks ago, he formally asked for my youngest daughter's hand in marriage. That really impressed me, since it is rare these days. For Christmas, he gave me a very nice pencil sketch that he did of me with my Twister at the flying field. I wasn't even aware that he has artistic talent. Now, if I can just get a handle in his hands.

But the best part of Christmas by far was the fact that the whole family was together including everyone from our one year old grand-daughter to my ninety year old mother. Doesn't get any better than that.

Santa didn't bring me any model airplane stuff, no fishing stuff, no motorcycle stuff, and nothing for the truck. Did get a box of 50 rounds of American Eagle .380 Auto ammo, so I'm ready for any road trips to the East Coast. So, I went out and bought myself one of those back supports at Homey Depot, a shiney new pressure treated 2x4 x 8' and ordered a ST G.51 CL when I got home. I did get a WAZZU Cougar T-shirt and a nice sweatshirt with a Bald Eagle on it, so I'm ready to Partay! Well, maybe not. Son Daniel gave us an electric blanket, so I think I'll go take a nap. Steve

The only airplane stuff I got were a couple of Richard Bach books "Nothing By Chance" and "Illusions". I just finished reading them both. It's been a long time since I read any Richard Bach and I had forgotten how immensely I enjoy his writing.

I did get a pneumatic nail gun to help me out with a fairly large installation of pine tongue and groove I have planned for the near future. I keep dreaming of figuring out a way to use it to anchor down the wing sheeting of the Strega I got for my birthday last Novemeber. It would sure make that go fast.

Well, no plane stuff, but I did get an insulated rain suit. So I can fly in the spring in the Northwest. Be nice to be dry for once.

I got a gadget I've dreamed about since I was a kid: A super jacknife, all stainless steel, with a saw, a pair of plyers, scissors, and a set of bits for a screwdriver, it has 3 phillips, 3 torx and a regular one.

I'm going to get me a set of allen bits, 2.5mm, 3mm and 4/40, it'll be handy at the field.

Santa also left a broadband connection under the tree, I can now download a lot of good stuff!

PLUS

A C++ development kit (Code warrior) for the mac OS X and a virtual PC, so now I can run all those nice applications, like, for instance, Larry's STUNTRIB (and with the code warrior I can also make my own stuff).

I need an extra HD...

Well under the tree was a Fourmost miter sander and miter saw. A new Glow Driver. A Compound 10 inch miter saw and a Scroll Saw.
I must have been a good boy last year?
