Seriously, Matt uses an adjustable elevator horn and just builds in an access slot on the inside big enough for the allen wrench to pass through. The oil goes to the outside, so, essentially, there is no problem. But, if you are concerned about it, cover it with packaging tape--the same stuff you would use to seal your hinge line.
