Well, I'm back from surgery recovery! Which ASP and Leo engines are you using? I reworked a Leo 37 a while back and it appeared to be a good engine. And the new ASP engines appear to be good quality, also.

We have imported a number of ASP's and Leo's. Right now we are having a lot of success with the ASP 25 and the Leo 25 in our Ukey 35's. These engines are a good value, and while not really a calssic stunt engine they are really good for the novice that isn't trying to "push the envelope" while looking for the type of engine run the "pro's" are using. Kept to a rich two cycle they preform well. I do think the Leo is better, but it is also more expensive. I have a Leo 37 that show promise. If someone is looking for an inexpensive engine I think they could be satisfied with either an ASP or Leo. We also have some ASP 15's, and while these too run well they are a bit on the small size when compared to others of that displacement. Used on most pre-built ships a aluminum crutch must be built as they generally do not fit the spacing most 15 size kits have.

I've been running an ASP 32 in a proto-type ukey 40, directly comparing it to the OS 32SX for GX combat in the high performance Yankee Nipper design. The ASP starts and runs just as good as the OS if not stronger; however, the crankcase size is different from OS or even the Fox 36 resulting in motor mount spacing that has to be dedicated to that engine. However, for stunt use this would not be a problem and I am sure this engine will swing an 11/4 prop and of course it runs very well on low nitro; I would recomend this engine to anyone looking for an inexpensive performance engine.
