Couldn't wait

Ok seeing Bruce and the Edmonton team out there in the snow made me feel guilty so I went out by myself today and tried out the Pathfinder with the engine changed to an OS FP40. I flew twice and was really impressed with the plane. Taking pics as you fly is a bit tricky but works if you aren't trying to get a pattern in.
Unfortunately the prop and spinner decided to part company just as the engine ran out of fuel. I found all the pieces.
Here on Vancouver Island Canada we have green grass.
Sure felt good to fly again after a 3 week layoff due to flu and wind and rain.

I'm already tired of this snow stuff, your green grass alluring. Pathfinders are good. What finish do you have on that'n, and what power did you have on it before the FP? Maybe I'll see you at one of the VGMC stunt contests this year. If I get off the dime and apply for a passport. Steve

The finish is heat shrink silk and Sig dope. I prefer strength to lightness and that is why you probably won't see me flying at the competitions. Well that and I call it a relaxation hobby not a competitive hobby.
I had an Irvine 40 on it and even throttled down it was just too screamim' an engine.
I'm pleased with the way it ran today. Nice and firm on the squares and no problems with the vertical 8 and hourglass. Great little plane!
