Head Gasket?

Do the Enya III 5224 .35 engines use a headgasket, or does the head simply seal against the top edge of the liner? I have 2 heads with this engine, but no gasket.

I bought one of those engines when they first came out and had 2 heads and I think 3 venturi's but I dont remember a head gasket or shim but felt the engine could do with one but this was back in the 70's as I say when they first came out.

I have a new (old square intake model)one here and it does not have a head gasket.

Mine, going back to about 1970, don't have head gaskets.

I have 4 of these engines, one of them is still new in the box. One I have flown with, and it has no head gaskets, the other two are new acquisitions, and have zero head gaskets also(used engines). I have not touched the "new" one yet, I should look, BUT, I had called MRC in New Jersey a few monthes back to order some parts, and I asked Carol (the parts lady) about some head gaskets for these engines. She said that none were shown on the (i dont remember her exact words)computer/diagram/illustration/ that she has. Since mine run good (to me,i am no pro, nor fly competitivly) I dont worry about it. I bet some of the engine guys on this forum can say better, and probably can make them if asked.

Never had a head gasket on mine, and I guess it is because it came with the two heads. By that I mean with the "low compression" head, it has a 4-2 good stunt run. It came with three venturis (square) and I have used the smaller two. I haven't tried the "big" venturi or the "high" compression head.
