Might anyone know if the Sukhoi kit from Heartbeat Models / Dave Trimble is still available?

Dave Trible disappeared in the late '90's, said to be due to divorce. I don't know anymore, and would not care to speculate. But I do have one of those kits (and the plans). I understand one won your NATS a few years ago. Steve

Thanks Steve .. Won our last two Nats in the hands of Mark Batty. Shows that some of the latest sophistication isn't really necessary - it's the pilot who wins at the end of the day.

A number of bods are keen about it due to it's simplicity - plan is available but a kit would be far easier.

Hello Ken

A mate of mine, Doug Grinham and myself have built the Sukhoi from plans and they are both fitted with OS 46LAS with 12 x 5 props

Both models weighed in at 48 to 50 ozs and fly very well
Doug put wheel spats on his and it transformed the look to a very pretty looking model.

I believe the plans are available, Doug Grinham has them at the moment.
Can send you details if you like

Tight lines to all.

Hi Glenn

I know of Doug's version - there are photos of it on the KMAC club day 26th Oct page in the VicStunt site, and I've seen the plan which is from the Heartbeat kit.

There are many who would like the kit, but is it still available from anywhere? If so, it would be a very good buy, particularly with the AU$ exchange rate being as good as it is at the moment.

Unfortunately, from what Steve says, it seems not.
