Hi Mike.

For some reason my computer or the system isn't letting me reply to your private message regarding the Precision Pro handles. Only way I knew to respond is by this barely sneaky subterfuge!

The handles are $25.00 plus three dollars shipping and handling apiece. The standard size should be fine for you from your description. If it's of any help I wear a medium large cadet golf glove and the standard is a comfortably snug fit for me.

Hope you've got your showshoes retreaded.

It's not too bad. It's just that they don't have no stinking snowplows. Geez, when I lived in Idaho, they had 60 in our small county. But then, it does snow quite a lot more there.

Here is the scene here at 7:05 am Monday morning outside my front door. The second picture was taken on Saturday on the sidewalk in front of my home. Crazy weather this year...

There's nothing there?? We had 28" during the President's day storm of last year. They would plow the street and put a six foot mountain of snow in front of the drivway that took another 3 hours of intensvive shoveling to get out of the way, besides the 4 hours that I had just done on the driveway istself. WHEW!!

Yep. It was 15 degrees here (and about 96% humidity) on Monday night. Snow all day Tuesday with about a foot accumulation at my house. Wednesday it was 42 degrees and a slick, slippery, slush mess that included a very exciting drive into work. Today it's about 44 degrees, the roads are mostly bare and wet and the little 3" deep babbling creek that runs under my driveway is now a 6 foot deep raging torrent that is threatening to take the 36" culvert under my driveway downstream.

Man, what a mess.

Yeah, I miss those snow covered hills in W Washington! People ask why I left the NW to move to MN? Yes, we get cold, we get snow but everything is flat and they have BIG plows. In the 8 years I've been here they've NEVER canceled our kids' schools for snow - only a couple of times for dangerous wind chills which dove to -40º (gee - doesn't matter if it's Celsius or Fahrenheit, does it?) back in '95 and '96. Ever since we've had relatively mild winters.

My sister lives in the Portland, OR area. She's made it into work only for 4 days the last two weeks. Burning up all of her vacation time sitting at home. Even the dogs won't go out to piddle in the back yard.

Want to watch brutality? This weekend's AFC playoff game at Foxboro, MA promises to be in conditions of zero or below with -20ºF wind chills.

Thanks Ted, check's in the mail and my truck no longer in 4x4 and I have no excuse for missing work. We are going to have a heat wave Sunday (47 deg.) think I might get a little air time.

I don't know, but one of the reasons I moved to Western Washington was to get away from this sort of weather. The pic below is my house at about 9am on Tuesday. It snowed another 6 inches after this.

Now where did I put those snowshoes...

The snow in Olympia was fun, it froze and then snowed another seven inches or more in eleven hours. Finally four wheel drive came in handy. I reciecved the first copy of Flying Model Collectibles from my publisher along with a bottle of PA.s finest wine. I don't drink but my dad loved it. I should have the other copies near the end of the month. Will bring this copy to the Expo for all to see. Jim J.
