World Championship Schedule

Has the actual schedule of events been published yet? I'm curious to know the exact dates for F2B.

Well, good, I feel better after checking p'body's AMA reference. I did know that much anyhow. Still don't know the specific F2B dates.

Thus far the only thing I've seen for sure is that opening ceremonies will be held on the 4th of July...fireworks and everything, I guess.

Historically there will be a day of "official practice" prior to the start of qualifying. Qualifying will likely take two days vice the three long days of WCs past because of the experiment with multiple (2) circles for qualifying. Finals are a one day affair ... no semi-finals as we use at the nats.

I'm guessing that the finals will be held on Friday the 9th but may end up on Saturday the 10th. Technically the Nats begins on the 11th and I don't know whether they're anticipating a free day between the two or not.

Not very helpful, I know, but that's pretty much all I've seen.

I believe that Bill Lee is the overall guru of US Teams? I would wager dollars to donuts that he knows!

While it might be true, it's a little hard to believe that Shareen Fancher might not know the schedule in which you have some interest. Might want to call her, I have always found Shareen to be a fount of information and good cheer.

Hi, Ted - Thanks for the reply. I will definitley go to the WC. Three or four friends of mine will be attending from Italy and it will be the perfect opportunity to see them. I expect Alberto will be competing.
I'll fly out and rent a car. I can fly into the little airport right next to the AMA site but I'll probably wind up in a motel a zillion miles away.
