I was informed this AM that some or many of Clarence Bull's engine collection has been stolen and has been offered for sale at a hobby shop in Springfield, Oregon. The person who came to the shop with the engines noted that he had a lot more at home.
The engines were identified as Clarence's engines by a person in the shop who recognized a number of them. The engines were pristine ignition engines, many with B, Y & O props and sales tags with Clarence's writing on them.
I am unaware of the number and exact identification of these engines, but if you come into contact with some suspicious engines, please let me know at your earliest convenience, or contact the attorney: Bill Bromley at 541-343-4700.
FYI: Clarence's son, Hank, recently committed suicide, and the entire Clarence collection has been unprotected for a couple of months. An attorney has just been appointed executor of the estate and will be securing the property immediately.
