Has anyone run an LA 40 with a Mac's tuned muffler?
Would appear it works on the LA 46 reading previous
posts.

This is an easy setup to run, so no worries. The key is the prop, to get the 10k~10.4k launch rpm and about 11.5k peaked. Adjust the airspeed with pitch, as usual. Something 4" pitch or less will work. Steve

ONE more thing...FUEL 10% nitro and at least 20% all castor. Thunderbolt plug. You might have to add .005 head gasket also.

Hi Paul, I have a very strong LA .40 mounted on a 38 Special bipe fun plane. With the MAC's Pipe I was able to do square vertical 8's with this thing! Its a real hoot! The miles per ounce improved as well. No overheating or stress to the engine noticed. Flew it on a very hot day two seasons ago on usual 6,22,3 fuel: 6%Nitro,22% Castor OIl, 3% Synthetic( Klotz) oil. Thunderbolt Long RC plug. This is a nice diversion for the Sport Flyer!
