I thought that I would post a few more pictures of the Vulcan for all to drool over. The airplane is finished in Brodak Dope and weighs 41oz. Power is a Aero Tiger 36 with a Werwage prop. Flies like a dream and looks great on the end of the lines. Very classy airplane.

#1 sourceOK, another computer question is forthcoming. How does one get the keyboard dry after severely drooling on it? So far it still works, but I'd like to avoid any problems before they occur.

Great looking model and very nice trim colors too, Mustang. Highlights the beautiful vintage style of the Vulcan!
This may be a topic for another thread but how do *you* mask off in preparation for spraying the trim? What type of tape, process, etc... because your trim color application looks precise and perfect!! But enough of the compliments, already...
I approach trim masking with dread over the inevitable...
... "bleeding" under the tape,
...and/or trim-paint pulling up when the tape is removed,
...and/or the base color paint adhering to the tape when it comes off.
Maybe there's a book or video I need to read/watch... 
I spray automotive paint, not dope finishes if that makes much difference.

Frank uses 3M FineLine tape and artist frisket for the paint masks. I have used paint masks created at our local sign shop. I also use the 3M product and frisket. Most sign shops will have some low tac 3mil milar that they use for making paint masks.

If you are using masking tape, of the automotive variety, one way to help with the bleed problem is to shoot a thin coat of clear over the tape edges. This seals the tape and prevents bleed under. Let the clear dry and put on the trim colors. After all of the trim is dried you can remove the tape and the color will not have bled under the tape.

The best cure is prevention! The cheapest, and perhaps, most effective, would be duct tape applied shortly before viewing said image. Failing this, perhaps a bib might help . . .
Post-drool keyboard cleaning - - yechh! get a new one! LOL!
