OK, CMM, the book mark is updated. The GSCB is well-heralded, but I don't visit your site much due to the endless string of pop-ups that occur when navigating to, from or through it. Sorry. Tripod must be a free, advertising supported ISP.

I recently downloaded the Google tool bar with a Pop-up blocker and it's been great. Just visited the GSCB site and heard the Pop-up blocker go off at least three times.

Sorry 'bout the popups, but yes alas... the site is free. I know many of you would just say pay for a site. Our club has a nut to crack of about 10 G's a year already, that we must EARN through our various events and paid dues. So anything we can get for free, is quite welcomed.

We will begin offering an advertising section of our website and it will be a paid, no pop-up site. The catch is an ad will cost 10 dollars a year to run on our site. If we receive a good response to this, we will go full steam ahead with it. This will enable us to pay for the extra bandwidth and remove the pop-ups. If anyone is interested, contact me.

The Google toolbar is great and the google search is always on your browser screen for easy access, besides blocking those danged pop-ups.

Thanks, Elwyn. I may have to check that out. Is this one of those "free" tools that logs information about your web habits? I understand that a lot of those Pop-Up Blockers are.

It's a free tool but I'm unsure about it tracking your website habits. I remember there being an option on some function when you downoad it but I can't remember exactly what it was for. Possibly something to do with ranking websites you're searching for. The pop-up blocker can be turned on and off as needed. It hasn't interfered with any of the windows that you get on SSW for uploading photos. I've visited several sites that had a window open up as part of the regular site and not an advertising pop-up, so some things aren't bothered by the blocker.
