Firstly, a little introduction - I've been hanging around here for a few months now after finding my way from the Yahoo! groups mailing list. I'm based in the UK, and am getting back into C/L modelling after a lay off of about 20 something years (which seems to be a recurring theme amongst modellers!)
My current model is a 48" YAK-18 <1> (an old Peter Miller design, if anyone remembers it) which is now progressing nicely, but I am unsure about covering materials. When I left modelling, solarfilm was new on the market, and was pretty much the only alternative to doped tissue/nylon. Now, it seems things have changed, and there are a few more options. As this is a first model after a long break I'm looking for something easy to use rather than something that will give me a concours finish. Can anyone recommend anything easily available in the UK that will work on a model of this size & construction? There's not much in the way of sheet balsa, just the leading edges. The rest is ribs and stringers really.
Fibafilm is a product that has been mentioned to me in the past, but I've yet to find anyone that has used it, and what the results were. Simiarly, I've read about starspan (http://www.starspan.co.uk) but don't know anything other than is mentioned on their page.

<1> This was also just about the last model I ever built as a young man. I recovered the plans recently whilst clearing out the attic in my parents house, which is what rekindled the spark that I guess was always there.
