Does anyone know where I might get laser cut Mustunt III ribs? I don't have anyway to generate the necessary digital files to have htem custom made...

I got mine from Kyle at www.tanks-hangar.com They were pretty good. Only needed one minor mod to make the belcrank fit. Not a big deal. It involved widening the slot about a 1/16 on the innermost ribs to make room for the belcrank mount. Everything else fit really well.

Unless, of course the MUSTANG III ribs are close enough in size to use on a MUSTUNT III...
Ok, I read the post a little too fast. I guess that is what I get for reading it just before heading back to work from lunch.

I was hoping you had seen something I had not. The Mustunt holds a special place in my memories. I never built the Mustunt III. A good set of laser cut ribs would be a great incentive.
Easy to see where the confusion could occur (Mustang vs Mustunt). Of course, that has never happened to me.... Ever...

Matt's were for Al's Mustang. However, I have a feeling that you can get the Mustunt III ribs there, too. If he doesn't have them already, he can get the patterns from Al and have at it. Good quality stuff.

Good point. Some laser cutters have the software to take a root and tip rib pattern, and generate the ribs in between. If someone can get me a clean scan of the root and tip, I can generate the vector (e.g. CAD) file them both. Send that to the laser cutter, and voila....
I do have a set of plans to the Mustunt. Unfortunately, the outlines suffer from copy of a copy of a copy ... syndrome.
Does anyone have a good clean scan of the Mustunt root and tip they could send me?
