Fox 59 question

Just picked up a Fox 59R/C - circa 1962 - is this any good for stunt?
The carb is square in shape and appears to be force fit in the square section stub in the crankcase. Can it be removed, or just lash it open?

I believe that the carb is held on by an epoxy of some sort, and is removed by heat. Get in touch with Charley Reeves if you want to know what modifications need to be done to convert it to a stunt engine. There are others, I'm sure who know this but Charley's name just came to mind first.

Yes, it is, but get ready for a whole lot of noise and shakin'.

I am restoring an upright engine T-Bird. The spacing of the lug holes was most peculiar. Thanks to this Forum, we determined it had a Fox 59 in it, of all things. Yes, it was (is) heavy, even without the engine.

I am replacing it with an OS FP 40, or LA 46.
