Fox fuel

OK. If I add 1 Pint of Castor Oil to 1 Gallon of Powermaster 10% Nitro fuel (18% 50/50 oil) I end up with 8.88%% Nitro and 27+% oil, of which 2/3 (more or less) is Castor.

This should be close enough to OK for an L&J or older Fox .35, right? As long as I don't go lean??

Hi Ralph,
Just got back my Fox from Larry recently. He really recommends 10% X 28%. If you can get the Powermaster, I would think you can get the GMA 10% X 29%.
I am looking for some suitable 15% nitro which he says would be best.

Powermaster has both 22% and 29% oil "GMA" (the former being 50-50 castor/synth, and the latter being all castor) in 5%, 10% and 15% nitro. I have not yet been able to get the 15% through Ultimate Hobby, our LHS, because their distributor doesn't stock it. Bummed. Steve

I would recommend using 15% nitro. Adding 19 ounces to it would give you 28.5% oil and 13% nitro. If you already have the 10%, the mix should work OK providing you have run this engine on Synthetic/Castor mix before

I have run a lot of Byron’s 15% nitro and 16% oil with 21 ounces of castor added with great success.

Contact Ritch's Hobbies and order their super stunt fuel. They are about 45 minutes from League City, off loop 610, you can order as little as 1 gallon with the nitro % you desire. The super stunt fuel has 29% all castor.

Thanks for the suggestions/recommendations. I'll trek up to Rich's for the recommended fuel, and see if I can return or excchange the 10% PowerMaster.
