London swapmeet Sunday!

Britain's largest swapmeet is this Sunday in Watford.

I'll be looking for:

and some odd bits.

I will be deleting this from here since it is just an event listing. (well, a want list for you, too, but that also will expire with that date and otherwise could be posted in the classifieds.)

Wish I could go. A Detroit RC Club meet on Eminem-famous "8 Mile" is what we have in store on Sunday. This is minus the hookers, drugs, and hip hop music, mind you (the only hip-hop you see is from one of the older guys who just had hip replacement surgery). It is in Eastpointe (nee East Detroit, changed the name), not Motown.

Interesting things turn up. For example, a nice Sterling Spitfire for $25, two years ago...Passel of O & Rs from an Estate...etc.

Elmore...I was in The Great Theme Park They Call England in '97, London actually, visiting my daughter, who worked for an oil company there. They had a huge flea market in Camden Town, in the northern section. Bought an aluminium (note Brit spelling) Spitfire display model. Does any ukie stuff ever show up there, too?
