On the very ugliest day of the year so far, a ray of sunshine! My letter-carrier favored me with delivery of my very first issue of Stunt News. Hurray! Now some of the posts here won't seem so mysterious (referring to articles). It's a great time to be in Control Line!

Well, I managed to find a couple of hours last evening to begin reading this amazing epistle. I have to say the first reaction is to be overwhelmed by the sheer volume of fascinating reading material! The first thing I read completely was Mr. Rutherford's column. Glad to see I'm nowhere near being a SSF. Sounds like a great burden. I was pleased to see a lot of names I recognise from here. I look forward to reading you in each issue. I'll have to learn how to balance reading with building and flying, though... it seems like it'd take a whole two months just to read this thing properly...

Only those deserving of respect ought be referred to as being a "Mr."

You have proven yourself to be one sick puppy, assuming you are not lying about your first choice of which column to read completely.

Being an SSF requires years and years of effort. I have provided nothing more than a goal, it is up to you to achieve it.

And it is a great burden. Of course. One I bear with grace and goodwill toward all. Or did you miss the deal about not wanting to beat my peers by default? Crush 'em I say, even if one must provide the slackers with some of the support equipment they should be packing along, but don't, thus I must step in to make up for their short-sighted nature.

Are you saying that if we're short sighted, we might
step in some of the crushed SS stuff?
I get so confused by these hard sentences.

Also, I've determined that there is another type of SSF, with its own kind of SSS. I'm talking, of course, of the silly stunt flier, of which I happen to be a prime example. I also have a pretty good stash of silly stunt stuff, as in "Fly stunt with that thing? That's just silly!"

The transformation is already in progress, however. Not only am I now a PAMPA member, but I await the arrival next month of my very first "Foster-ized" Fox 35. Of course, if it's anything like I'm expecting, it most certainly won't be my last... (bwa-ha-ha-ha...)
