"Sure Thing"

The plane: "Sure Thing"
Kit Manufacturer: Berkeley
Size/Type: 19 size all wood trainer.

I need plans/drawings for this one, it is to be a present to my flying buddies (two brothers) from 40 years ago. They learned to fly on one. RH 19, olive drab and red Testors dope finish (all the local hardware had at the time)

Don't need a kit, I got a ton of wood.
Have everything else to make it happen!

I vaguely remember the airplane, but think it's some other brand, maybe Consolidated. Was there an "Enterprise" brand? Any idea about the years it was advertised? Steve

There is a possibility that it was an Enterprise kit. Berkeley was stuck in my old brain, but......... It would have been '50s to early '60s.

I'm thinking this thing had a profile fuselage, and a sort of radial engine shaped nose, "razorback", and some dark trim color behind the painted on cockpit? I don't have many magazines from pre-'62, but will look. Steve

It was indeed an Enterprise kit, a profile and it had a hollow cored wood wing. Made for a 15 really it had about a 30inch W/S. I had a kit of that a few years ago, sadly it's long sold into anothers collection.
Paul Del Gatto was the designer of most of the Enterprise offerings and you just knew that it would be a decent flyer. The one that I flew in the early 60's was a really nice trainer.

That's the one. The little brother in my buddy's family used to practice wingovers that would hit nose first in the first base bag of the field we flew on.
Plane would just bounced off and land on it's wheels!
