Why do you want to do this?
The Brodak needle is a .155 diameter and the LA is bored at .140 for a .135 needle. That said, the Brodak 40 was based in many ways on the FP 40 and uses the same size venturi with the cross hole slightly lower (well, the outer diameter is the same anyway). So it should fit if you bored the cross hole in the case and venturi in the LA. However, if you go to a larger needle body, then you also need to go to bore out the venturi another 20 thousandths to maintain the same choke area.
So, why do you want to do this?

Well, gosh, it makes sense to me! If you use an OS NVA, and you break it, or just plain don't like them that much, you are stuck. Where do youse buy the OS CL NVA, anyway? I have no idea; thought they were out of production with the end of the FP Stunt's. I'll bet it hacks those ol' boys off, that they still have to make something that might get them sued. Anyway, if you decide to use the DS, Brodak, K&B, Nelson, ST or ST Clone NVA's, they're all the same diameter, so if you break one, you can usually find a buddy that can help you out with at least one of the others. Personally, I'd vote for the Nelson/Randy Aero NVA...best by a bunch, IMHO. Leonard has them. Steve

Leonard also has the OS NVA's or you can get them from Tower. I like the B-40 NVA but don't think I would go through the hassle of swaping out an OS NVA. Like Leonard says Why?
