Sunday Fun fly the weather was nice 5 mph wind that would sometimes gust to 15 mph for 30 seconds. I did 3 flights with the Flight Streak then I did 6 Flights with the Ringmaster. I did the manovers without too many mistakes. Can't seem to do the manovers the same size or in the same place each time but practice makes perfect. About half way through flight 10 I was inverted, went brain dead pulled up instead of down flew straight into the asphalt. Its worse than it looks. Fuselage is split down the middle in 3 places. All the ribs in the left wing are broken in 3 to 5 places. Leading edge and training edge are both broken. I have LE and TE spliced with fiberglass cloth and ribs are all spliced with basla. My Spruce spars never seem to break on any crash I have ever had. I love those spruce spars. The worse part is my fuel tank is smashed. It didn't bend the landing gear. lol I hate it because I just got the Ringmaster tweeked out during Thanksgiving weekend. It was flying perfect. The 2" long elevator control horn fixed the control problem. The heavy McCoy 35 engine with a plastic prop mounted as close to the nose as I could get it fixed the tail heavy problem. It was flying a 6 sec lap and flew great.

Looks like it smacked pretty hard, I assume the wing leading edges were not swept forward, but the wing is broken? Too bad, I'm always sorry to see it.

But take heart - it's repairable!

Good job! Not as thorough as the one I did on the best trainer I ever had, a Tanager.

BUT, if you smacked the bird trying to fly inverted (I assume that from the name of the thread).

I did in soem 10 of 'em.

Till I learned he lazy eight.

If it's the case, let me know. Learn from a champ (crashing cathegory) how to stop doin' it

You weren't flying at Bill Littles field with all those weird winds, ghosts, and goblins were you? What is the story anyway?

Sorry, I couldn't resist.

This is what happens when you fly in heavy wind with a heavy airplane and forget to compensate.
