New Plane

Just a little show n tell on my new plane for this year. It's my loose interpretation on a A7 Corsair II. It will be powered by a PA61. Mike McHenry

Hi Mike,

Nice new plane, can't wait to see the finished product. Thanks also for the NATS pics of Bob Baron's Patternmaster. Unfortunately I was in the hospital with a flu bug that got worse over a period of a couple of weeks and then turned into pneumonia so my Time Machine project has slowed drastically. I hope to be working on the TM again real soon. Good to see your post.

Nice plane!!!!!

Except for the stab and fuselage main gear looks a lot like the NOVI-III from 1967, or the All American Eagle published in MAN in July 1968. The All American had both throttle control and brakes.

Any idea of the color scheme? hopefully not scale as you'll never see it on a cloudy/foggy day.

Very interested in your method of mounting the nose gear with the pipe installation.

Bill, the nose gear is removable. I used 2 seperate wires and looped them around the header. They are mounted to a platform that can screwed to 2 mounting pieces affixed to the doublers. I will take some pictures if you like. It was definetly a night mare to do and will probably never do another plane like this again. Mike McHenry

I have a project very similar in mind for a F-8 Crusader similar to Vic Macaluso's but with a pipe.
