TBLF contest results

Here is the results for the TAMPA BAY LINE FLYERS stunt contest on Sept 2, 2001
We didn't have a large turn out but it was a good flying weather and the new site was great
We had guest from over 150 miles just to watch including Nat's controline stunt event director Bruce Gifford.
Odd as it may seam many poeple had to work this weekend and the FAI tryouts pulled down our number of flyers. Everone stayed under the very large oak trees except for the poor jugdes who had to sit in the sun.

Ed - We all had a great time, and you run a smooth contest, no matter what the size.

I don't care that I didn't win, (or come even close) I'm still flying high because first, I broke 500 Points!

Second, it's my first contest flying above beginner... I had refused to go to anymore contests till I could enter a new level.

Third, I did it without a muffler! (stripped the threads before my second official flight) An un - muffled ST60 is something you won't soon forget. Incidentaly, I was amazed at how much the power came up, and how little difference in the way the engine did the 4-2-4. The 4.9 laps were fun though! I was afraid to touch the needle at this point, and had to wing it.

4th - Did I mention I broke 500???...

Thanks for the all the great coaching too Ed! Now if only you could teach the student to surpass the master!
