Old ignition engine

I just inherited an Anderson Super Cyclone. Engine seems OK, compression is good, but the Timer Arm is broken off.

Does anyone know where I might obtain a new one?? Or find someeone who knows ignition engines to verify that this one's Ok to run before I invest a bunch of time in an appropriate model?

The Super Cyclone is an excellent stunt ignition engine. Check the crankshaft to main bearing fit to insure that it doesn't have much slop.

Not to be picky, but it's either a Anderson Spitfire, or a Super Cyclone. The Spitfire is big, heavy, loud, De is correct the super
cyclone is a very good old time stunt engine. If it a supercyke, I
have
the name and address of the the man that reconditions, and makes
extremely good replicas.

For parts try Woody Bartlet. He advertised in Model Aviation. Page 137 in the March issue. I have an old catalogue of his and can see if he has parts. He was very nice to deal with when I needed parts.
