NOBLER ARF MODS SUMMARY

I recently got a Nobler ARF and am commencing the construction. In preparation, I collected various modifications different folks have made and put them in one plain text file. My collection of suggestions is only roughly organized by categories like: tank, leadout mods, etc... My list is not comprehensive, the mods have not been evaluated, they are just what I gathered. Most of them have come from the STUKA Stunt Forum, but some from other places. I may well have omitted various suggestions; not intentionally. The file prints out in 30 pages. Yes, that is 30 pages,mostly single spaced. I will email this file to anyone interested in it, just let me know.
The file is 81K bites so it is too large to upload to SSW, though if the SSW wanted this file to place somewhere for everyone's use, that is ok with me. I am just trying to give back in a small way, after others have helped me... If this offer is inappropriate, let me know. We all owe thanks to the many individuals who contributed the suggestions in the first place.

Personally I think this is an excellent and v useful idea. I started doing much the same myself, but ran out of time. If yours is "finished" (30 pages IS quite a lot!), I'd like a copy as an E-mail attach file please. To save you looking it up you can send to:

This is a good idea, but not even Ted and I working together could convert:

Change leadouts, bush leadouts at 'crank, add tip weight box, at least consider upgrading control system hardware, check alignment carefully, install square-head Magnum 36, fly until you puke

into 30 pages of information.

But Dan,
You forgot: change tank... It takes guys alot of words to say that.

I have considered replacing bellcrank with a 4" bellcrank, replacing the leadouts, adjustable leadouts, adjustable weight box, replacing all flap and elevator horns, using Dave Brown rods, replacing fuel tank, and using a Merco 40. What else is there to change?

Well,
1) Take the covering off the wings, and discard the wing.
2) Build a new wing and cover it.
3) Do the same to the fuse, and tail feathers.

Sorry, just couldn't resist it. My NoblerArf is "almost stock", replacing only the leadout cable.

I am glad to see as much interest in the Nobler mods as there is. Just to let folks know... I have received about 30 separate requests for my collection of suggestions. I tried to leave the name of the author/creator of each suggestion in the textfile. Now... I need to get busy and make my Nobler!
