Did you back-mask the numbers or were you able to get away with just painting white over the purple?

This project included a lot of experimenting. The foam wing, using Dixon's "found foam" process, has sheeting and capstrips covered with one coat polycrylic, silkspan, and then pink, blue and white monokote over top. "Decals" are monokote. Fuse built using Morris "Ladder Style" construction but with my own engine/crutch design, covered with polycrylic/tissue/auto primer and white lusterkote and blue rustoleum. Flaps are polycrylic/tissue/ auto primer with white rustoleum. Elevators and vert. tail salvaged from wrecked Oriental have nitrate dope, .2 oz. carbon fiber, auto primer and rustoleum. Adjustable leadouts, weight tip box, removeable landing gear(s). Magnum .36 XL sq. head w/tongue muffler, plastic clunk tank set up for uniflow. Heavier than hoped for at 44 oz. but balanced on c.g. point with no additional weight needed.

Looks Great. I am building my 4th. I really love this plane, I dont think that there is a better Classic design. I have even won Expert with one a time or two.

For some reason, I really like this model.
