Hi all!
Very apt subject for this board.
What do you think of the above kit I have an opportunity to buy one for £50/$75.
How about and OS25FP in it?

Don, if you don't buy it, let me know where it is and I will. Even though this is not a true "collector's" kit, I would like to get one just for that purpose.
As to kit quality, it should be good, much better than the original Ambroid kit.
As to the plane, it flies beautifully--I think even better than the famed Nobler.
As to engine choices, the 25FP would provide more power than the original Fox 25 that Don used. But the weight should be similar, and, a little extra power, well, that never bothered me.
Go for it.

But (supposedly) not to the same extent as we are more used to allowing for between "old" engines and "new." The 1957 Fox 25 (according to Mr. Still, at least) had as much power as the 29. Don had preferred the Fox 29 over the 35 for stunt at first, when he finally joined the glow crowd. I personally have so little air time with a Fox 29 that Marvin "donated" that I can't say for sure myself.
I had two Fox 25's that were both excellent, powerful engines, with almost none of the vices of the bigger 35's (not all all persnickety about being upright, inverted, pancaked, any way at all, less vibration, easier to find a needle sweet spot for a 4-2-4, etc.)

It should be noted that when Don Still put either the Fox 25 or the 29 in his Stukas, he ran them fairly fast. He never did slow down to the extent that most aerobatic pilots did after seeing & hearing George Aldrich's Noblers. Almost all of the Stukas of his I ever saw, and I did run into him often in my early years, had the paint scraped off the top of the tail fin, he flew so low so often.
Thus, even though there has been some discussion around the C/L message forums about FP 25's being more prone to faster running than FP 20's, that would just make this particular Stuka a bit more like Don's! (I've edited the power comparison vis-a-vis the Fox 29, above.)

A flyin' buddy has a swap Still Stuka with this very setup: an OS FP 25. We had to cut the nose up and use an RC mount to get around the existing mount, which had been butchered. The plane has been flown a couple of times with very good results so far. You notice the lack of vibration compared to you know who right from the get go. The thing is an ugly Slime Green, which the Huns didn't use, although they did have some interesting alternatives for camo.
The little OS has plenty of power for the Stuka, and I will recommend it. He is running the muffler, too. I also have a swap one that I'll finish restoring this Winter. It will get some sort of camo paint job. Since it is drilled for a Fox, it will shake some.

I have both, and would rate the .25 equal to the .29, although it is more fragile.

I built an Ambroid Stuka Stunt in 1966 and powered it with a Fox .25. It flew ok, but at sea level. When I moved to Idaho, it was underpowered and that is why I no longer have it. I didn't like the way the Ambroid kit went together, especially the fuselage. I sure hope the classic version is better. By the way, I had a Popeye figure as the pilot and Olive Oyl as the rear gunner. Maybe her excess weight was why it flew bad a 6,000 msl.
When did CLC make a Stuka Stunt? Tony Drago is a friend of mine and if he ever built one, I would have one.

Your kit may have been made in Fruitland, Florida. They are the ones sold a few years ago by America's Hobby Center. If so, the quality of the kit is spotty. ( The curvature of the top of the rib may not match the curvature of the bottom of the rib)
