Cardinal Pics

OK, I am still new at this game and this is only the 4th plane I have built so far.....

Painted with Acrylic Lacquer ( rattle can )
Powered by OS 46 LA...prop to be decided.
I have no idea on the weight as I dont have scales....

Still have the leg fairings to put on it and maybe the wheel pants (although we fly over grass )

just thought I'd share some pics...

I wouldn't worry about the weight so much....they all seem to fly pretty well!

I run my OS 46 LA with an 11-5 apc. Weight is not much of an issue with the power of the 46. You can be off on the needle(rich) and she still has lots of power to get through the pattern.

Very cool. The last time I saw a critter with such a neat color scheme, I was snorkeling in the Caribbean sea (last week as it happens). Lovely aesthetics...

4th model!?! I know guys that have modeled their entire lives that don't work like this, beautiful!

By the way, I don't particularly care for the Cardinal asthetically, but your paint scheme makes is very appealing to me. Keep it up!

I like how the fins glow from the light and contrasts with the dark backround in a very relaxing manor. Oh, and the airplane looks neat too.

Naah, Just kiddin man, it is a very cool job. The only way it could look better was to have it against the blue of the sky, and the glint of sun off the propeller....

........I love the smell of castor oil in the morning..........

Randy, I'm with you on the "look" of the Cardinal....thats why I tried to change it a bit through the color scheme......

My Cardinal is next, right after I finish my Sig Mustang,Brodak Mustang, VooDoo(s), Ares, and some 1/2A's for the kids. Want to finish it for me?

One question - what are you using to fuel proof the lacquer?

The Lacquer I use IS fuel proof...well, it has proven to be on other things.....it is like rustoleum ( I think ) we have different names for stuff in New Zealand.....it does the trick nicely tho.....plus you can get a miriad of colours which is great.....next plane ( accentor ) is going to to be Metallic Purple and White......( I think ) I already have the paint scheme worked out for that....

I would hate to inspire you to build a plane that you dont like just coz you can spruce them up.......

you'd be surprised how many times i have heard " I never liked the Cardinal, but it aint so bad like that " comments in the last week......

with a little help anything can look good ( well, nearly )
