ST G21/40

Need More Help:

Got a ST 40 set up for R/C, not ran in a long time. Going to put a C/L venturi on it, IF I can get the *!?*##! carb. off of it. Nut came off of the locking stud, but that is it! What is the trick? DRM
( I know I am going to feel real stupid when I find out, but it will not be the first, or last time)

GOT IT OUT. Carb had sorta fused itself to engine. Anybody want a ST carb with a few pliers marks on it?! Thanks, DRM

The Locking Stud has a half moon cut-out in it so that when you snug up the nut it kind of goes off center on the barrel of the carb and holds it in place. So if the nut is loose just give the carb a little
twist in either direction and she should come out with any luck.

Put the nut back on, leaving it a couple of turns loose. Then give it a light whack with a piece of wood, aluminum or brass dowel & small hammer. Steel + Aluminum = galvanic reaction. Alcohol makes it worse. Good idea to assemble this detail with anti-seize compound. Steve
