It is that time of the year again when I need to look to the big spring build time with my disadvantaged and at-risk youth. Last year I was able to get a very healthy dose of motors (1/2A) complete with handles, wrentches, etc from one of our esteemed members here on the forum. He will not let me thank him publically so I will honour his request and thank him each night when I give thanks. He was also kind enough to donate several precut 1/2A kits which weere and are, well used. This one kind individual, almost singlehandidly donated everything required to supply every child the parts to complete his own airplane.The few other things I needed were donated by a hobby shop in Edmonton.
Unfortunately the hobby shop will no longer donate to us as they feel they should donate to local clubs (can't fault that) so I have to do a bit of fund raising for fuel, batteries, etc. I believe I have that covered. What I am in need of is more balsa wood (not the good stuff please!), 1/16", 1/8" and 1/4". I would also like to get a kit/motor combo in the .19 to .35 size, profile stunter, that I can make into a class project for those that stay on.
Anything that anyone would care to donate to these cast off youth would be greatly appreciated. my snailmail addy is:
